In the Gulf city of Dabshi, the thing for expats to do on weekends is attend all you can eat-and-drink brunches, whilst their drivers wait outside. The gatherings are not to everybody’s taste, though Alex Morehead, one of the many Brit residents, finds it a useful place to meet girls, who after many drinks, can become quite outspoken.
